A Pioneering and Passionate Conservationist Visits BTF…

The BTF was honored to receive Dasho Paljor J. Dorji, popularly known as ‘Dasho Benji’ who met the new Managing Director and staff at the Secretariat today. After the khadar offering, Dasho gave an inspiring talk on the conservation issues in the country, highlighting on the creation of the first trust fund in the world – Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation.

Dasho emphasized on the unique opportunity we have before us, with a pristine natural environment and a strong culture of environmental stewardship, to build on and sustain the valuable legacy of our beloved Kings, for the benefit of present and future generation.

Moving forward, BTF reassured to continue the trust fund’s work through collaborative approach and partnerships with national and international institutions and conservation partners that share a common purpose of conservation goals.
