Consultative Workshops in Dagana and Paro

Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTFEC), in line with the government’s flagship program and in collaboration with relevant agencies, is in the process of developing project proposal on “Adaptation to Climate-induced Water Stresses through Integrated Landscape Management in Bhutan” for submission to the Adaptation Fund (AF). As a part of this activity, workshops were successfully conducted in two dzongkhags namely Dagana and Paro participated by Dzongkhag’s sector heads, local leaders and the community representatives from respective dzongkhags. The main objective of the workshop was to identify environmental and social impacts/risks in compliance with the Environmental and Social Policy and Gender Policy of the funding agency. Women participation was encouraged to ensure gender equity. The project proposal is expected to submit to the AF Secretariat within 9th August 2021, deadline for submission of proposals for the Adaptation Fund Board’s considerations at Its 37th Board Meeting.
