FELICITATION

On the birth anniversary of His Majesty the Third Druk Gyalpo, the BTF family joins the nation in paying heartfelt tribute to the Father of Modern Bhutan. His Majesty the Third King is credited as the architect of modern Bhutan, and remains deeply beloved to the people of Bhutan.

Among many reforms, His Late Majesty ensured that modern public schools in Bhutan were strengthened and as many children as possible attended school. To honour His Late Majesty’s commitment to education, today is also observed as Teacher’s Day in Bhutan. It is a day to recognise the hard work and dedication of our teachers, and their important role in ensuring that the future of Bhutan remains bright. Happy Teacher’s Day.
